Moving Forward Collective/Moving Bodyson Net

MOVING FORWARD COLLECTIVE is a group of artists housed under Moving Forward that showcases original works by Madi Hicks and her collaborators. Moving Forward is a nonprofit organization that has empowered artists through educational programs and creative opportunities since 2017. The Collective made its debut in 2022 and since then has had an international residency at Orsolina28 and premiered two new works in NYC. Consisting of one composer and nine dancers, we focus on creating work that showcases a wide range of our creative voices. This project is sponsored by Boston Moving Arts. @movingforwarddance

BODYSONNET is a collective of contemporary dance makers and performers committed to making work in non-traditional formats. BODYSONNET initiates projects in an array of communities that provide locals with unique and inclusive performance experiences. To create highly collaborative work, BODYSONNET employs horizontal working practices, considering every artist in the room equal parts dancer and creator. BODYSONNET has presented full length works, mixed bills, films, and zines in Massachusetts, New York, Arkansas, San Francisco, and online.  Moscelyne ParkeHarrison, and Chase Buntrock will perform ‘newave’, a duet inspired by photographer Adrianna Newell's‘Sisters’, in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist missexpandinguniverse and DJ Tushrik Fredricks. @bodysonnet_ @moscelyne_ @boyposes
